Xavier Vignon consults at some of the grandest domaines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape but also produces a handful of wines under his own name. They are rarely seen in the UK but offer some of the best value coming out of the region.
His Côtes du Rhône is all that good southern Rhône should be: dark, juicy, fresh and delicious, with vibrant Grenache and Syrah fruit, excellent balance and soft tannins.
2015 was a superb vintage and this is perfect for drinking now - 2019.

It would be a great match for stews, charcuterie, and hard, full flavoured cheeses (Comté or Montgomery Cheddar would work well).
