The area has a long history of vine growing but the domaine as it is today was established by Simon and Nathalie Hugues back in 2012. They have 30 hectares under vine, aged up to 60 plus years, which surround the 'Mas' where they live. They practice an 'agriculture raisonée' using treatments only when strictly necessary.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Appellation\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRoussillon (one of the most southerly appellations in France) is beginning to make a name for itself as a source of very high quality, keenly priced wines (\u003ci\u003e\"fast becoming the most exciting wine-producing area in France\"\u003c\/i\u003e reckons Tim Atkin MW).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis particular cuvée comes from the Tautavel area in the north of the region.
