It was bottled in 2016 and has been ageing in the Fresne-Ducret cellars since then.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJust 2502 bottles were made and the Champagne was recently awarded a gold medal and 95 points at the Decanter World Wine awards.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is utterly delicious Champagne, perfectly balanced, rich and fresh with exceptional complexity from the 9 years ageing in bottle. It is perfect for drinking now but will age for another 6 or so years if you lay it down.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Fresne family have been growing grapes in Champagne for 7 generations. Their vines are in the 1er Cru village of Villedommange, near Reims, and today it is Pierre Fresne who oversees the whole operation - from vineyard management through to the dosage, riddling and final corking.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe resulting Champagnes are a testament to the family's meticulous production methods and the quality of the domaine's \u003cstrong\u003ePremier Cru terroir\u003c\/strong\u003e.
